Yes, the coin purse came out really well. I was experimenting on the 2nd one with my stitching...It's better if you just use garter stitches all way through the project. By doing this the edges of the coin purse will be flat and not begin to curl up. Learned that the second time around. lol But it's easy! Like I said in my blog, it took me two hours to make. :-) 1. Cast on 10 stitches 2. Knit 2 rows of garter. 3. Row 3: Knit 5 stitches, yarn over, & knit remaining 5 stitches. (You now have 11 stitches) 4. Keep knitting in garter stitches until the piece is 5 inches. 5. Bind Off, leaving 10 inch trail. 6. Fold strip, where button hole overlaps by an inch. Sew up sides using the overcast stitch. Weave in & trim loose ends. 7. Sew a button on the front of purse, directly behind where buttonhole falls.
Happy birthday!!! The cake is really nice, I love the heart shape and the decoration on top. I also love the chocolate too, is it a mousse cake? (God bless you!)
